Our Vision, Values and Mission

Our Vision

“Faith, Hope and Love in the heart of Streatham”

Our Values

Our core values of welcome, inclusivity, diversity and compassion find expression at St Leonard’s in the following ways:

  • In our worship
  • In our relationships
  • In our concern for others
  • In our care for creation

Our Mission Action Plan

Our aim is to express our commitment to be a community of faith, hope and love in the heart of Streatham; welcoming all and serving Christ in all we do.

We have set out in our Mission Action Plan, how we hope this vision will find expression through us. It is shaped by the things we value:

1. Worship

We want our worship to be accessible, welcoming and inclusive of all.

We want to express our gratitude to God by offering the best of who we are and the gifts we have in our worship.

We want to hear what God is saying to us and be open and responsive.

2. Those who are especially vulnerable

We want to ensure that those who are vulnerable among us, both close at hand and in the wider world, are noticed and supported.

We want the vulnerable in our community to experience God’s love through us.

3. Future Generations

We want to ensure that local children and young people receive from us the nurture and care they need to grow in faith, hope and love.

We want to share the story of God’s love with the children in our community and beyond.

We want to strengthen our relationship with our church school and other schools in our neighbourhood.

4. Care for Creation

We want to be active in responding to the causes and the effects of Climate Change.

We want to become better stewards of God’s creation.
