New Electoral Roll

[Please note that this concerns the church’s Electoral Roll, which has nothing to do with the civic Register of Electors. It is also not the same as our Church Family Address List, which is an informal register to enable us to communicate with our members.]

Anyone who is a baptised member of an Anglican church, aged 16 or over* and attends worship regularly is eligible to be entered on the Electoral Roll of their church, which entitles them to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The Electoral Roll is also useful to the Diocese as an indication of the active membership of a church.

The Church of England decrees that all churches must prepare a new Electoral Roll every sixth year, and 2025 is one of those years.

This means that even if you are currently on St Leonard’s Electoral Roll, you will need to reapply this year.

If you are not currently on the Roll but have attended worship for at least six months, we would encourage you to apply.

You can download an application form here, complete it electronically and email it to the Parish Office. Paper forms are available in the Narthex if you prefer to apply that way. Forms must be submitted by 22nd March at the latest.

* 15-year-olds can apply and will become eligible on their 16th birthday.
